Kicks Karate

I'll be taking a break from drawing to focus on Martial Arts Training at Kicks Karate.

I may be a white belt now, but not for long...

My First Store

Here are some pictures from a table that I opened @ Patapsco Market during Black History Month.

I was surprised by the support that I received, and I even had a few people thank me for doing something positive.

Overall, my first store was a great experience, and I learned enough to now know what I'll need to do to open my own official store someday.

2nd Book Signing update

Well, had my second book signing @Beyond Comics yesterday, and it. was. Amazing!!! I sold almost every book that I came with, and met a lot of awesome people! Thanks to all those who came through. I appreciate it.

2nd Book Signing!!!

OK, so let's try this again. I'm having my second book signing next week.

First one was not so great. But this one, as promised, will. be. epic!!!

My Modeling Photos

Well, being that today is my 29th birthday, I thought that it would be as good a day as any to post these photos...

One of many goals that I've set for myself was to become a model for my own clothing line. So when I started this company, I told myself that I wouldn't wear a shit in any picture until I had my OWN shirts to wear; hence the reason for so many shirtless pics in the past.

Now that I have my own line, I have to wear the shirts in order to promote them. So sorry ladies, no more shirtless pics... for now... (It's not like y'all care anyway...lol)

I know one person that will be happy that I'll be wearing a shirt more often these days is my Mom. All she used to tell me was: Boy! Put a shirt on!

O.K. Ann Marie Mendoza... You win... Lol.

2011 Highlights

2011 is the year that MPulzion finally started to get off the ground. Here are some of last years highlights:

• We celebrated our One Year anniversary by launching MPulzion.com
• Began the New Page Tuesdays weekly series
• The release of M Street Battlez #.11
• Grand Opening of the MPulzion Merchadize online store
• Released M Street Battlez #1

Last year was an amazing year, and we only officially started making releases in October of 2011. That's only 2 months! Imagine how productive MPulzion will be as we utilize all 12 months of 2012...

BLUE MOON T-SHIRT

New product! This is a picture of the first T-Shirt that I'm releasing: The Blue Moon T-Shirt.

The design was inspired by the Blue Moon Collar worn by Remus. The blue disc in the collar symbolizes the rare blue moon, under which Remus is at his strongest, hence the tag line "BE WERE OF THE BLUE MOON". The orange splash represents the color of his fur, and the fangs were extracted from the mouth of a slain giant vampire. Simply put, the wearer of this color is not one to be messed with.

I only ordered 25 of these shirts, and as I was placing the order I wondered how I was going to sell them all? Then I looked at the growing list of all the people who pre-ordered one, and realized that I didn't even have enough! Guess I'll have to order more next time, which is a good thing... Thanks to everyone who placed an order!

M STREET BATTLEZ #1

At this time, two months ago, I posted the preview issue to M Street Battlez #1. And I'm finally posting the rest of the first issue now. Words can't describe how much energy I've put into creating this book. I just wanted something that would be worth your time to read, and I think that I've accomplished that. I really wanted to post this before New Years, and with only minutes left in 2011, here it is. I hope you enjoy the book, and HAPPY NEW YEARS!

FIRST BOOK SIGNING UPDATE

Well, I had my first book signing yesterday and it was a complete. disaster. lol. Let's just say that everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. But I learned enough from it to insure that my next signing will be a success. Thank you to all who showed up. I appreciate it. The next one will be EPIC! I promise.

M STREET BATTLEZ #.11 PREVIEW ISSUE

Today's date is 11/11/11. And the time is  11:11pm, and 11seconds as I began to write this post. I happen to be posting .11% of the 1st Issue of my 1st comic book called M Street Battlez. So I don't know... I guess the time just feels right.

MPULZION turns ONE

It all started a year ago on this day... On 10/10/10 I started a small publishing company called MPulzion Publishing. The objective was to release projects through a self-owned company in order to keep ownership of the rights. The first project was a mix-tape called Return of the MI, released on 1/24/11, my 28th birthday.

I eventually took it off the Internet because I wanted to make a few more changes, but I'll be re-release it soon. The second release was going to an art project that involved hip-hop artist.

I had to put that project on hold because of some legal concerns with using celebrity images. It'll eventually be revisited once I've learn about the legal aspects of releasing it. So on 10/10/11, the company's first anniversary, after one year, and two false starts, I'm proud to announce that MPULZION is finally ready to release it's first official project. It's a comic book called M Street Battlez, and it will be released online on 11/11/11.

I'm currently working on the pages, and I'll keep ya'll posted on the progress. Stay tuned...
